There are six options on the Time of Day graph tab. Keep in mind that nothing performed here affects or changes your photographs.

COMPARISON METHOD

There are two options in this window. The first is "actual file count". This option will cause the graph to display the actual number of photographs taken during each time interval. This is the most common method for displaying the frequency of photographs taken. The second option is "percent of total". This graph will have the exact same shape as the "actual file count" however, the scale changes to the percent of photographs taken at each time interval. For example, if your data set contains 1000 photographs and 100 were taken at 5 pm, then at 5 pm the graph will show 10%. Percent of total is most useful for comparing different folders of photographs where one camera was in the field for a longer time than the other. When the start and end times are changed (see below) the percent of total updates to include on the photos taken during that time frame.

GRAPH INTERVAL

This option changes the time interval photographs are placed into from one half hour to a full hour. When one hour is selected the graph will appear smoother.

START/END TIME

These two options change the time frame you are viewing. By default, the graph starts and ends at midnight. But you have the option to change this setting. For example, if you wanted to only view photographs from 6am to noon you could choose those times to start and end and the graph would only show those six hours of photographs.
Note : If you choose an end time before the start time, the graph will shift to accomodate this. For example, if you choose a start time of 6am and an end time of 3am, the graph will display the 21 hours from 6am through the day to 3am the next morning.

PRINT

This option will automatically print the graph to your DEFAULT printer.

SAVE PICTURE

This option will allow you to save the graph to a .jpeg picture which can be uploaded for sharing to forums like this one.
